How to search a Twitter archive by date

  1. Enter an X username, a profile link or a user ID.
  2. Pick the first day in From & the last day in To.
  3. Choose a result limit & press View Archive.
  4. Read the posts from newest to oldest, then export them as CSV or Excel.

X's own archive & this viewer

X's own archive is a ZIP file of your account's data. Only the account owner can request it. This viewer lists the posts X still shows for any public account. A post its author deleted is not in the results.

What each archive row holds

Each row holds the post text, media, date & link. It also lists the likes, reposts, replies, quotes & views. Rows run from the newest post of the range to the oldest. Turn on Include replies to add the account's replies.

How to download your X archive

X's archive holds your account's data, starting with your first post. Request it on x.com in these steps.

  • Open Settings and privacy, then Your account, then Download an archive of your data.
  • Confirm your password & the code X sends, then request the archive.
  • X sends an email or an app notification once the ZIP file is ready.
  • Download the ZIP file, unzip it & open Your archive.html in a desktop browser.

How do I search archived tweets by date?

Enter the account, the first day & the last day above. Then press View Archive to list the tweets of that period.

Can I see deleted tweets?

No. The viewer lists the posts that are still on X. A deleted post is not in the results.

How do I view my Twitter archive?

Unzip the archive X sends you & open Your archive.html in a desktop browser. Or enter your username above to list your posts by date.

Can I view the archive of a private account?

No. It reads public accounts only. Only the approved followers of a private account see its posts.
