# Xquik REST API deprecation policy

v1 stays compatible. Additive changes can ship without notice.

- We announce breaking removals at least 90 days in advance.
- Affected responses include RFC 9745 `Deprecation` and `deprecation` link
  headers.
- Scheduled removals also include an RFC 8594 `Sunset` header.
- OpenAPI operations stay marked `deprecated` through their transition.
- Security or legal emergencies may shorten notice. We explain every exception.
